Lorraine Gaffney

Lorraine Frieda Gaffney, 88, of Plymouth passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Rocky Knoll
Health Care.
Lorraine was born on August 17, 1934 to the late Anthony and Alice (Cudworth) Liebe. In 1952, she
married James Gaffney, he preceded her in death in 2016. Lorraine was a dedicated wife and mother
and during her working years was proud of her time spent as a Nursing Assistant in labor and delivery at
Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.
Lorraine was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed
engraving goose and ostrich eggs, glassware and baking pans, crocheting, doing word puzzles, and
cherished spending time with her family.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Dennis Gaffney, Brian Gaffney, Richard Gaffney, and Patricia
Gaffney; grandchildren: Nicholas (Linda) Kullmann, Nathaniel (significant other Erin) Kullmann,
Samantha Lorraine Gaffney, Sean Gaffney, Rachael Gaffney, and Richard Gaffney Jr.; 7 great-
grandchildren and one on the way; and two brothers: Delmer (Shirley) Liebe, and Eugene (Carol) Liebe.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Anthony and Alice Liebe; husband: James; son: Wayne
Gaffney; brothers and sisters: Delbert Liebe, Arnold Liebe, Anthony Liebe JR., Marilyn (Harry) Lipscomb,
and Alice Marie Liebe.
A funeral service to celebrate Lorraine’s life will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 1:30 pm at St. John
the Baptist Catholic Church, 115 Plymouth St., with Rev. Phil Reifenberg officiating. Relatives and friends
may greet the family on Monday, June 12, 2023 at the church from 11:00 am until the time of service at
1:30pm. Entombment will take place at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond Du Lac.
