CINCINNATI, OH (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers extended the Reds’ losing streak following a 5-1 victory in Cincinnati on Sunday.
Adrian Houser got the win after pitching seven innings of one run ball.
Offensively, Andruw Monasterio blasted a three-run homer in the first inning for the Crew while Victor Caratini also went yard in the fifth. Milwaukee is on a three-game win streak and is first in the NL Central at 32-27.
Ben Lively got the loss for Cincy, which has lost four games in a row.
The Brewers will go for the series sweep Monday night. Julio Teheran gets the start for Milwaukee opposite Andrew Abbott.
