(WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers dropped their series to the Blue Jays following a 3-1 defeat in the finale in Toronto on Thursday afternoon.
Freddy Peralta got the loss after surrendering all three runs on six hits over six innings.
The Brew Crew were shutout over the first eight innings until Brian Anderson grounded into a double play in the ninth to force home the only run. Milwaukee fell to 29-27 and has just a half-game lead over the Pirates for first place in the NL Central.
The Brewers open a four-game set against the Reds in Cincinnati Friday afternoon. Corbin Burnes gets the start for Milwaukee opposite Brandon Williamson.
