A motorcyclist survived a crash in rural Sheboygan County, but survival wasn’t certain when Sheboygan County Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. about a mile north of Beechwood where the driver of a truck hauling a horse trailer had stopped on County Highway “SS” at County Road “A”. The driver entered the intersection while a motorcyclist, identified as a 26-year-old man from Kewaskum, was reportedly traveling on “A” at a high rate of speed – too fast to stop in time – and slammed into the side of the horse trailer.
The cyclist suffered head injuries and was unconscious at the scene. He was airlifted to a local hospital and is reported in stable condition this morning. Citations have yet to be issued.
