MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – Six San Francisco pitchers combined for a shutout win as the Giants downed the Brewers 5-0 in Milwaukee on Thursday night to take the first game of a four-game series.
Scott Alexander, Taylor Rogers, Jakob Junis, Sean Manaea, Tyler Rogers and John Brebbia combined to allow four hits in the shutout. Junis earned the win and improved to 3-2 after striking out four through two-and-a-third frames.
Michael Conforto went a perfect 4 for 4 with a home run as San Francisco improved to 25-25.
Brewers starter Julio Teheran took the loss after allowing one earned run in five innings. Milwaukee remains atop the NL Central at 27-23.
