MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Houston Astros crushed the Brewers 12-2 in their series opener in Milwaukee on Monday night.
Yordan Alvarez went three-for-four with a pair of home runs and five RBI to lead the Astros while Corey Julks also blasted a homer and drove in three runs.
Corbin Burnes got the loss after surrendering five runs on seven hits over five innings.
Rowdy Tellez slugged a homer for Milwaukee, which fell to 25-22. The Brew Crew are now tied for first in the NL Central.
Game two of the series is set for Tuesday night. Colin Rea gets the start for the Brewers opposite JP France.
