Randal Scott Prinsen, 61, of Oostburg, peacefully entered eternal life on Saturday,
May 20, 2023, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Randy was born on August 11, 1961, to Roger and Carol (Ten Haken) Prinsen in
Sheboygan. He graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1979. On September
3, 1983, Randy married his best friend, Denise Hendrikse.
Randy spent his entire adult life working at Pemco, which he enjoyed every day
for 43 years.
Randy found joy in raising and training beagles, hunting, fishing, trapshooting,
traveling, coaching his children’s baseball teams and watching his children play
various sports, and spending countless hours managing and hunting their 100
acres of Wisconsin woodlands. Above all, Randy cherished time with his family.
He was a loving husband, proud father, and joyful grandfather.
Randy was an active member of Oostburg First Reformed Church where he spent
countless hours serving as an Elder, Deacon, Treasurer, Youth Leader, and
member of the Reformed Rebuilders where he and his wife provided home
rebuilding and renovation for hurricane victims.
He remained positive amidst life’s great trials. Randy was firm and kind, strong
and caring, wise and persistent. He will be remembered for his entertaining
nature and being a jack of all trades. He will be dearly missed.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Denise; children, Jessica (Paul)
Voskuil, Kelsey Prinsen, Bradley (Samantha) Prinsen; grandchildren, Rynn Voskuil,
Madden Voskuil; parents, Roger and Carol Prinsen; sister, Jacki (Brent) Voskuil;
brothers, Mike (Natalie) Prinsen, Scott (Susan) Prinsen; and parents-in-law, Harold
and Audrey Hendrikse; sister-in-law, Sandy (Bill) Schmit; brothers-in-law, Mike
Hendrikse, Karl Hendrikse, Larry (Cathy) Hendrikse. He is further survived by many
beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by two cousins, Rick Prinsen and Brian Prinsen and a
sister-in-law, Pam Hendrikse.
A service to celebrate Randy’s life will take place at the First Reformed Church of
Oostburg on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 11:00 am with Rev. Bob Rook and Rev.
Brian Taylor officiating. A visitation will take place at church on Tuesday from 3:00
pm until 7:00 pm and again at church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time
of the service at 11:00 am.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Matthews Oncology
Associates, Froedtert Cancer Center, and Sharon S. Richardson Community
Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
