Sharon Lynn Schmahl, age 73, of Plymouth (formerly of Sheboygan Falls), passed away on Monday (May
15, 2023) at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan with her family by her side.
She was born on September 17, 1949 in Sheboygan, WI, a daughter of the late Elmer and Edna (Bunge)
Schneider.
Sharon attended Parkview Grade School in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School.
On September 15, 1973, she married LeRoy Schmahl at Salem UCC in Plymouth, WI. The couple resided
in Sheboygan Falls area following their marriage. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2015.
Sharon worked as a nursing assistant at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth and at Willowglen
Academy in Plymouth for 20 years.
She enjoyed miniature bowling, camping, Bingo, playing cards and spending time with her family,
especially her loving grandson, Noah.
Survivors include: Four children: Roger (Julie) Schmahl, Daniel Schmahl, Richard Schmahl (Ashley Holtz),
and Sandy (Joel) Davis; Step-son: Elmer (Jenny) Schneider; Grandson: Noah Gosse; step-granddaughters:
Paige McLamb and Shayna Schneider (Ben Wentz); Step-Great grandsons: Greyson and Elliot; One sister-
in-law: Sally Schneider; Special niece: Gail (Darryl) Anderson; and best friend: Karen Schieble.
She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Lou Ford and brother, Jerome “Jerry” John Schneider.
Visitation will be held on Saturday (May 20, 2023) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 10:00
AM – 12:00 PM; with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Her cousin, Pastor David Schneider, will
officiate. Cremation will take place following services and inurnment will be at Union Cemetery in Louis
Corners.
