Another business given expert guidance and support during its development is ready to hit the road on May 19th. Harvest Street LLC, formerly known as Solutions Catering when it started five years ago, will operate a food truck that will serve “New American street food” in Sheboygan and Manitowoc counties. Harvest Street obtained their food truck this past February from 3 Sheeps Brewing. While preparing it for action, owner Marc Luecke said the company took time off to work with the Sheboygan County Economic Corporation and the Small Business Development Center adjusting their business model and diversifying their revenue streams. That behind-the-scenes work, guided by the SBDC’s Ray York, has now made it possible for the company to grow from a part-time venture to an anticipated full-time mobile catering operation.
Harvest Street is also supporting area farmers and producers through its operations by sourcing many of their ingredients locally, and Luecke said that their job is to “respect the hard work and labor of love that went into those products” through the seasonal, and dietary-inclusive, menu.
Luecke hopes to eventually move from their current base of operation at St. Paul’s UCC in Sheboygan to a brick-and-mortar headquarters, expand the catering and attend more community events as it grows.
