MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers dropped their series to the Boston Red Sox after a 12-5 defeat in Milwaukee on Sunday.
Matt Bush got the loss after surrendering four runs while recording just one out in relief. Brian Anderson slugged a pair of solo homers as Milwaukee lost two of three games to Boston.
Boston’s Masataka Yoshida cranked a pair of home runs in the eighth inning including a grand slam and ended the game with six RBI. Boston put up nine runs in the eighth to take control of the ball game.
The Brew Crew are now second in the NL Central at 15-7, a half-game behind the Pittsbugh Pirates.
The team opens a three-game series at home against the Detroit Tigers Monday night. Colin Rea gets the start opposite Matthew Boyd. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 6:05.
