PHOENIX, AZ (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers got shutout by the Diamondbacks 3-0 in Phoenix in game-one of a three game series on Monday night.
The Brewers were held to just three hits on the night and also struck out a whopping 15 times. Diamondbacks pitcher Zac Gallen recorded 11 of those strikeouts in a dominant performance.
Wade Miley got the loss for the Brewers after surrendering all three runs over five innings.
Milwaukee fell to 7-3 on the season with the loss.
Game-two will take place Tuesday night with Corbin Burnes getting the start for the Crew while Merrill Kelly takes the mound for Arizona. Pregame coverage on WHBL starts at 8:05.
