Margery “Marge” (Dykstra) Ten Dolle of Hingham Wisconsin passed away Friday evening, April 7th, 2023, at Sharon Richardson Hospice Center. She was 86 years old.
Marge was born December 15, 1936, in Vesper Wisconsin to John and Anna (Holstein) Dykstra. She was a graduate of Waldo High School. She married John Ten Dolle on August 27th, 1955.
Marge loved to spend time with her family. She always had time for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to being a loving and devoted wife, mother, and later grandmother, Marge worked at the Hingham Grocery Store and later spent 16 years as a teacher’s aide at Hingham Elementary School. A longtime member of Hingham Church, over the years she enjoyed helping out with Sunday School, Bible Class, VBS, Choir, Wednesday Night Meals, and costumes for pageants and plays. Marge spent many winters on Anna Maria Island in Florida with John, occasionally hosting the rest of the family, and enjoyed traveling throughout America. She was also a prolific crafter, excelling at knitting and embroidering. She sewed many quilts that she passed on to family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John Ten Dolle, her daughters, Janice (Kurt Casady) and Kristine (Steven) Rogers, daughter-in-law Wendy Ten Dolle, grandchildren Sarah (Charles) Fitzgerald, Michael Ten Dolle, Kevin Ten Dolle, Zachary (Kelly) Rogers, and Jesse Rogers, great-grandchildren Keelin Fitzgerald, Abigail Fitzgerald, and Benaiah Rogers, brother Robert Dykstra, brothers-in-law Eugene Wassink and Glen (Annette) Ten Dolle, sisters-in-law Lillian Dykstra, and Linda Dykstra, Harriet Ten Dolle, and Edith Ten Dolle, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, Steven Ten Dolle, brothers Cornelius (Bernice) Dykstra, Henry (Elsie) Dykstra, Ralph (Beverly) Dykstra, Sidney Dykstra, Gerald Dykstra, Willard (Minnie) Dykstra, and John Dykstra, sister Sylvia Wassink, brothers-in-law Lloyd Ten Dolle and Carl Ten Dolle, and sisters-in-law Phyllis (Jim) Dulmes and Lou Ann Dykstra.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 12th, 2023, at Hingham Church. A livestream of the service can be found on Marge’s obituary page on wenigfh.com. The family will receive visitors at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and Hingham Church.
