MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers are celebrating a series sweep of the Mets in style after a 7-6 walk-off win on Wednesday afternoon.
The score was tied at six apiece heading into the bottom of the ninth until Garrett Mitchell crushed the game winning solo homer to bring out the brooms.
Joey Wiemer also homered for the Brewers while Jesse Winker drove in a pair of runs. Milwaukee took all three games and have now won five straight to improve to 5-1 on the season.
Pete Alonso slugged a pair of homers and drove in four runs for New York, which fell to 3-4.
The Brewers have Thursday off before hosting the St. Louis Cardinals for a three-game weekend series.
