Eunice M. (TenHaken) Lensink went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 4,2023 in Sheboygan, WI at the age of 96. She was born July 1, 1926 to the late Jesse and Carrie LaGasse TenHaken. Eunice graduated from Cedar Grove High School and the Sheboygan County Normal School. She taught in rural schools for 5 years. She was a part-time bookkeeper at the Farm Bureau Mill in Waldo for 3 years. On Nov. 24, 1950, she married Julius C. Lensink. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1998.
Eunice had a lifetime of loving and caring for her family and for children. She was a 4-H leader in Oostburg for 50 years. She was an active member of the First Reformed Church of Oostburg, where she taught Bible Class for 28 years. She also provided child care for several beloved families through the later years of her life (into her 80s). She was active with the Reformed Women’s Missions and Young At Heart.
She is survived by her son Larry (Julie) Lensink of Sheboygan, and daughter Julie (Paul) Camp of Parchment, MI; 5 grandchildren- Elizabeth (David) Morales and Michael Lensink of Sheboygan; Heather Lensink and Leilani (Jeff) Cupp of Plymouth; and Cara (Patrick) Lynch of Durham, NC; seven great grandchildren – Samuel, Anna, Anthony, Al’veontae, Gabrielle, Evan, and Silas.
A funeral service to celebrate Eunice’s life will be held at First Reformed Church in Oostburg on Friday, April 7, 2023, at 10:00am. She will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet the family from 9:00 until the time of service.
