MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers exploded on offense in their home opener and crushed the New York Mets 10-0 on Monday afternoon.
Rookie second baseman Bryce Turang blasted a grand slam for his first career home run while Brian Anderson launched a two-run shot of his own.
Freddy Peralta earned the win after allowing just two hits while striking out seven hitters over six scoreless innings.
Milwaukee improved to 3-1 on the season.
The Crew will send Wade Miley to the mound Tuesday night in game two of the series. Max Scherzer is scheduled to start for the Mets. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 6:05.
