Lana F. Brock, age 76, of Sheboygan passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2023, at St.
Luke’s Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in West Point, Nebraska on July 25, 1946, to the late Leonard and Esther
(Breitbarth) Wascher. Lana was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Ormsby, Minnesota and
grew up on a farm near Odin, Minnesota. She graduated from Butterfield High School in
Minnesota and continued her education, receiving a dental assistant associates degree at
University of Minnesota. Lana moved to Sheboygan in the early 70’s where she raised her sons.
Lana enjoyed working with a few dental clinics in Sheboygan and built long lasting connections
with both staff and patients she met there. On December 24, 1979, Lana married Richard Brock
at St. Mark Lutheran Church, where they were both faithful members for many years. He
preceded her in death on May 17, 2010.
Lana enjoyed putting together puzzles, word games, hosting friends and family, reading books,
playing Rummikub, and traveling. Lana most enjoyed loving friends and family at Christmas
time through gift giving and hosting the Christmas gathering. She will be deeply missed.
Lana is survived by her son, Tyler (Heidi) Bennett; a step-daughter, Tammi Bennett; step-sons,
Gregory (Wendy) Brock and Jeffrey Brock; grandchildren, Joshua, Sophie, and Micah; step-
grandchildren, Bambi, Erin, Caitlin, Matthew, Leigh Ann, Alissa, Tate, and Claire; seven step-
great-grandchildren; siblings, Lowell (Lois) Wascher and LeAnn (Marv) Cummins; other family
and friends.
Along with her husband, Richard and her parents, Lana was preceded in death by a son, Trent
Bennett and a sister Lois Heller.
A Funeral Service for Lana will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, March 31, 2023, at St. Mark
Lutheran Church, 1019 N 7 th St. in Sheboygan, with Pastor Tyler Werner officiating. Family will
greet visitors at the church on Friday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. For those who
would like to attend Lana’s service virtually can do so on Lana’s obituary page on the funeral
home website. Entombment will take place at Lutheran Cemetery, Garden Terrace Mausoleum
on Monday April 3 rd at 9am with Pastor Tyler Werner again officiating.
A memorial fund has been established in Lana’s name; if you would like to send flowers please

The family would like to thank the great physicians, nurses and staff at both Sheboygan Aurora
Medical Center and St. Luke’s Medical Center for the excellent care and support given to Lana
and her family. Also, to the many friends and family who spent quality time with Lana over
meals and games with laughter and love.
