Kathleen A. Walsh, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, entered her eternal rest and Heavenly Abode on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan County with her sons by her side after a lengthy illness. She was 74 years old.
Kathleen was born May 21, 1948 in Sheboygan Falls, the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy (Trimberger) Walsh. She grew up in Sheboygan Falls, graduating from Sheboygan Falls high School in 1966. She later studied at LTC where she proudly earned her degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude, all while raising her young family and working fulltime. She provided her family with a timeless, exemplary, and honorable sense of community service and a work ethic that was surpassed by none. Her resilience in surviving tragedy and fortitude in overcoming obstacles was amazing and garnered the respect of her peers, neighbors and family alike.
For over 20 years, she worked as an insurance agent Burkhart Heisdorf in Sheboygan. Kathleen’s compassion and love uplifted others wherever she went. She retired in 2014. Prior, she had worked as a teacher for the Sheboygan Area School District.
Kathy was a former member of the Sheboygan Jaycees, Sheboygan Rotary Club, and had enjoyed volunteering with the Salvation Army. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and above all, loved being a grandma to Jonathan. Her selfless dedication to her sons and grandson, which was instilled in her by her parents, was a testimony to her fighting the good fight of faith, and running the race until the very end.
Kathy is survived by her sons: Luke Wirth and Thomas Wirth, both of Sheboygan; grandson Jonathan of Sheboygan; siblings: Judy (Tom) Winscher of Beaver Dam, Fred (Debbie) Walsh of Sheboygan Falls, Andy (Carol) Walsh of Batavia, Luke (Penny) Walsh of Ft. Atkinson, Michael (Cheryl) Walsh of Plymouth, Paul (Paula) Walsh of Kiel and Matthew (Cheryl) Walsh of Cleveland; brother-in-law Mark Melger of Plymouth; sister-in-law Marilyn Berlin of Sheboygan Falls; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, sister Chris Melger, brothers John and Jimmy Walsh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Trinity Parish, 319 Giddings Ave. in Sheboygan Falls on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 12:30PM with Father Jonathon Schmeckel officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 10:30AM-12:30PM. She will be laid to rest at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Lima.
