After a few bump-ups in reporting statistics, the overall picture of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County right now is one of low-level, but steady activity.
Wastewater surveillance, which had shown a spike in activity at the Sheboygan Wastewater Treatment Facility, now indicated very low concentrations of SARS-CoV-2 virus particles, a reading mirrored by the Plymouth Wastewater Treatment Plant, the only other Sheboygan County source monitored.
The Sheboygan County Activity Level is “Low”, while actual numbers show 90.17 new cases per 100,000 people in the last 7 days. That compares with 80.63 the previous week. New COVID-19 hospital admissions rose from 3.3 last week, to 4.9 per 100,000 population in the last 7 days. Deaths remained stable at 295.
