The Wisconsin 511 Road Map Posted at 6 a.m. Monday Indicated Slippery (magenta) and Snow-Covered (blue) Roads in Eastern Wisconsin
A snow system that laid down several inches of snow over the two-day weekend is expected to depart today.
Wet snow began slowly falling Saturday night and continued more-or-less continuously, with a dryer form of the white stuff picking up again on Sunday night. The slippery roads that resulted sent a handful of cars off county roads, while Sheboygan Police reported one car off the road within the City. That system prompted a Winter Weather Advisory for Sheboygan and Fond du Lac Counties until 7 a.m. on Monday, and it’s expected to be all but over by later in the morning with only flurries and gusty north winds remaining.
A more spring-like system is anticipated later this week continuing an apparently regular schedule of Thursday-Friday events. This one will probably begin by putting down up to an inch of rain on Thursday before finishing on Friday night with snow. Cold, blustery weather will follow for the weekend and, judging by long-range forecasts, any hopes of warmer weather will probably have to be put on hold for the rest of this month.
