Marlene Loesing, age 86 of Sheboygan passed away Monday March 6, 2023.
Marlene was born December 25, 1936, in Sheboygan to the late Walter and
Dorothea (Fritz) Steinhaus. Marlene attended Bethlehem Lutheran School and
graduated from Central High School in 1955. On July 26, 1958, Marlene was
united in marriage to Jack Loesing at Bethlehem Lutheran Church; he preceded her
in death on October 24, 2012. They shared 54 years together. Marlene was
employed as a bank teller and manager for many years. She retired from the
Sheboygan Area Credit Union. Marlene and her husband maintained a hobby
farm, raised quarter horses and were charter members of the Black River Riding
Club. Marlene loved her horses and dogs. She enjoyed all of the neighborhood
dogs as well!
Marlene is survived by her sister-in-law Judith Steinhaus-Schuette of Sheboygan
Falls, brother-in-law Norman (Suzanne) Loesing of Sheboygan and many nieces,
nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Wayne, an infant sister
and Jack’s brothers and sisters Melvin, Adeline, Ruth, Lucille, Ione, Albert, Jr.,
Richard, Donald, Roy, Frederick, and infant twins.
Family and friends may gather at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1121 Georgia Ave.
Sheboygan on Saturday March 11, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at
10:00 a.m. Pastor Patrick Niles will officiate. Entombment will take place at
Sunrise Memorial Garden.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Bethlehem Lutheran
Church and School or the Sheboygan County Humane Society.
Marlene’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of
Pine Haven Christian Community – Oostburg and to the Sharon S. Richardson
Community Hospice for their care and concern. They would also like to thank the
neighbors for all their helpfulness throughout the years.
