Joseph H. Stahl, 65, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on
Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. He
was born on October 21, 1957, in Manitowoc to the late Herbert and Veronica (Schneider)
Stahl. Joe attended St. Isadore school in Osman and then graduated from Sheboygan North
High School with the Class of 1975.
On June 2, 1979 he was united in marriage to Donna Kaas in Cleveland. Together they raised
their two children Andrew Stahl and Jamie (Andrew) Wehner. Together they celebrated 43
years of marriage.
Joe worked for the Kohler Company for 43 years. He retired from the HVAC & Fire Protection
unit in the Powerhouse. Joe also served for 40 years with the Town of Sheboygan Fire
Department.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting in the Blue Hills, camping, and golfing. He also
enjoyed watching football and baseball.
Joe is further survived by his grandchildren, Jayden and Mason Wehner, brother LeRoy (Jean)
Stahl, sisters, Joyce (Ed) Schleis, Barb (Joel) Graf, Sandie (Jim) Fitzgerald, and Glady
Posewitz, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by
his parents, brother Gary Stahl, sister Audrey Stahl, in-laws Clarence “Slim” and Betty Kaas,
sister-in-law DiAnn (Larry) Kuntsmann and brother-in-law Don Posewitz.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11,2023, at 12:00 Noon at Zimmer
Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd. Sheboygan, with Fr. Norberto
Sandoval officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 11,
2023, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME. Private Inurnment will
take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Kohler.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Joe’s name.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. S. Mark Bettag and his staff, Dr. Ariel
Nelson, the staff at Froedtert Hospital, and the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for all
their care, compassion and support.
