Dr. Dennis Baus, age 75, of Plymouth, passed away at home on February 20, 2023.
He was born in Sheboygan on March 5, 1947, a son of the late Valentine and Alvera (Abler) Baus. Dennis
attended grade school in Kiel and graduated from Kiel High School in 1965. Following high school, he
attended Marquette University and graduated from their School of Dentistry in 1972.
On July 29, 1972, he married Rhonda Westphal in Appleton. They soon after settled in Plymouth where
he started his dental practice in 1972 and worked until his retirement in 2013.
Dennis was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. He also served as a member of the
Plymouth Lions Club, Plymouth Area Ducks Unlimited, and was a Cub Scout Leader for many years.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, especially his
grandchildren and their activities.
In addition to his family, Dennis enjoyed: reading, golfing, travelling, trips to the casino, swimming,
walking his best buddy Hailey, watching the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers, and most of all was a die-
hard Marquette Golden Eagles fan.
He is survived by: His loving wife, Rhonda; Three sons: Nick (Rikki), Tony (Jen), and Jonathon (Jodi); Six
grandchildren: Cole, Maxwell, Benjamin, Graham, Gracie, and Bella; His sister: Lori (David) Sladky; Two
brothers: Michael (Paulette) and Charles (Theresa); Four sisters-in-law: Janet, Cathi, and Theresa Baus,
and Joy (Claude) Hietpas; As well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Donald, Richard, and David.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday (March 2, 2023) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.
Visitation will take place from 3:00-5:00pm, with a prayer service to follow. Rev. John Schultz, Pastor of
St. John Lutheran Church, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Dennis’ name for Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
