Wendy K. Bohannon, 80, of Sheboygan, WI passed away on Sunday January 29th at Froedtert Hospital in
Milwaukee. Wendy was born on September 9, 1942, to parents Florence and Kenneth Bohannon in
Sheboygan, WI. She graduated from Sheboygan South High in 1961. Wendy was a member of St. Paul’s
United Church of Christ. Wendy also spent time living in Kansas City, MO and Milwaukee. Wendy
worked as a Personal Banking Manager and developed the ATM programs at Marine Bank and United
Savings and Loan, where she met many lifelong friends. She was forced into early retirement by the
early onset of Parkinson’s disease which she courageously fought until the end. Wendy loved animals,
especially her cat Misty, and was a strong believer in wildlife preservation. Always a true sports fan,
especially of her favorite teams, the Packers, the Badgers, LSU and Alabama. Her only sibling, brother
Kenneth W. “Bo” Bohannon III preceded her in death just last year and his passing broke her heart.
In 1969 Wendy’s life changed forever when she gave birth to a baby boy. Signing the papers for his
adoption was the hardest thing she ever had to do. In 2020 she finally reunited with her son Adam East
of Phoenix, AZ. She was overjoyed to get to know and love Adam and his adopted mother. They
developed a true mother-son bond that cannot be broken by her passing.
Wendy also worked as a travel director for bank senior programs and as part of that traveled to many
places in the U.S. and abroad. She made numerous friends along the way, many of those in the group at
Taylor Heights. Wendy loved Christmas, especially angels. Her Christmas village and angel collection
rivaled all others. To know Wendy was to love her.
Wendy is survived by her son Adam East and many other cousins and relatives. Wendy was preceded in
death by her parents Kenneth and Florence and her brother Kenneth Bohannon III.
Friends and relatives may greet Adam at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12 th St., Sheboygan, WI
