their anniversary as he was born on February 23, 1979. Betty graduated from Lakeshore Technical
College as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in May of 1981.
Betty was a nurse for Sheboygan County for 16 years until she was forced to retire from a
devastating stroke after complications from a heart procedure. Previous to that, Betty worked for
J.C. Penny Co. and Wigwam Mills. Betty liked to garden, read in her spare time, and taking family
vacations with her husband and children.

Southern Belle who never spoke a bad word about anybody and was kind to all. She fought her
illnesses until the very end. She will be dearly missed, but we find great comfort that we know our
loving father John, our brother Mike, and our Grandpa & Grandma Strickland were waiting to take
her home to her family and friends in Heaven.
Betty’s family would like to thank the staff at Senior Community for all of the wonderful care they
have given to Betty over the years she was a resident in their care. A special thank you to Renee
