Gladys Acella (Molitor) Medved, age 88, formerly of Plymouth, passed away peacefully early Wednesday
morning (December 7, 2022) at the home of her daughter Ann and Gene.
She was born on April 17, 1934, in Marytown, WI, (Fond du Lac County), a daughter of the late John and
Olive (Rieder) Molitor.
Gladys attended Marytown Catholic Grade School and graduated from New Holstein High School
in 1952.
She was united in marriage to Anthony F. “Tony” Medved on August 13, 1958, in Marytown, WI. Her
husband preceded her in death on December 28, 2010.
They resided in Plymouth where they raised their five children: David (Gwen) Medved, John Medved,
Rosie “Tootie” (Terry) Schwartz, Ann (Gene) Van De Hei, Vicki (Roger) Binder. She is also survived by:
Five grandchildren: Barry Medved (Special Friend: Lisa), Ranee (John) Raether, Ashley (Eric) Jellis, Dustin
(Becky) Medved, and Ally Binder; Great grandchildren that were her pride and joy: Alesaha and Carissa
Huberty, Mike Murray, Keano Medved, Jake and Jessica Raether, Landon, Logan, Isla, and Leland Jellis,
and Blake and Owen Medved; Great-great grandchildren: Drayden, Malachi, Axel, Paisley, Talon and
Brayson Huberty, and Holt Murray.
She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gladys worked at many miscellaneous jobs until she found her calling as a Bus Driver for 40 years. She
enjoyed taking numerous sports teams to these events. She earned her nickname “MA” from all of her
trips. She worked at the Sheboygan County Fair and Plymouth Dirt Track for many years.
She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports and race dirt bikes in her
retirement. She also loved her German Music and following the Dorf Kapelle.
Gladys was preceded in death by: Her parents; Her husband of 52 years, Tony; Her mother and father-
in-law, Joseph and Rose Medved; Her infant daughter, Mary Medved; One Brother: Eugene Molitor; Two
brothers-in-law: Frank (Evelyn) Medved and Chuck (Francis) Medved; and One sister-in-law: Fanny
(Hylas) Fall.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday Evening (December 13, 2022) at 6:00 P.M. at the
Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. John Schultz, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church will officiate.
Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Glady’s name.
