While snowfall this year hasn’t exactly been the stuff of dreams, for those dreaming of a White Christmas, there may be a bright future. That, according to the long-range forecasters at the National Weather Service.
One look at the maps says it all: for the period from December 17th through the 30th below normal temperatures and above normal precipitation are projected by models run by the Climate Prediction Center and, if there were any areas of uncertainty, our part of the U.S. isn’t now among them.
Do keep in mind that winter weather is notoriously hard to pin down, but for now…the dream of a White Christmas seems poised to come true.
