WISCONSIN (WTAQ-WRN) — Governor Tony Evers is being asked to ban TikTok from from State Government devices.
U.S. Senator Ron Johnson made the request, along with Wisconsin’s Republican Congressional Delegation.
The group calls TikTok nefarious spyware of the Chinese Communist Party that surveils Americans; and allows China to censor and control news and content here in the U.S. Recently, governors in South Dakota and South Carolina announced such bans.
Johnson and the state’s GOP House delegation say that it’s irresponsible-at best-for a governor to ignore such risks and promote TikTok through his own use of the app.
