After taking a breather between reports last filed on November 18th, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health resumed weekly updates on Sheboygan County’s COVID-19 pandemic on Friday, and data indicates a persistent presence of the coronavirus that is also still taking lives here.
One more death was attributed to the SARS-CoV-2 Virus in Sheboygan County since mid-November, pushing the pandemic toll to 287, an increase of four over the past month’s time and all at least 80 years of age. Of the deceased, one was between 10 and 19 years old, one was in their 20s, six were in their 30s, nine were in their 40s, twenty-two were in their 50s, forty-seven were in their 60s, seventy-four were in their 70s and 128 were at least 80 years old.
So far 34,094 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Sheboygan County, an increase of 100 over the last total posted in early November. Two persons are currently hospitalized for treatment, a stable number since last report, and total hospitalizations are 1,369, an increase of 7.
