An apartment development aiming to address the need for “unique, modern, high-quality apartment homes at prices that reflect a more typical income level of the community” will be launched with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday morning. The announcement was made on Monday by the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation.
Ashford Place Apartments are planned for 73 units, set within an oasis in a mature forest at the southeast intersection of Playbird Road and Highway 42. Units boast of 1400 square feet of living space in units of 2 oversized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms along with 1-car attached garages. Duquaine Development has been hired as the general contractor for the development which expects the first units to be completed this coming spring.
Duquaine Developer Eileen Robarge said that the SCEDC and the County Chamber of Commerce provided communication and partnership, and “gave us resources early in the project, so we were able to meet with local contractors and build great relationships.”
