PHILADELPHIA, PA (WHBL) – The Green Bay Packer defense got gashed as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Packers 40-33 on Sunday night.
The Packers had no answer for the Eagles’ running game, as Philly rushed for a total of 363 yards. Quarterback Jalen Hurts led the way, rushing for 157 yards while adding 153 passing yards and two scores. Running back Miles Sanders ran for 143 yards and two touchdowns.
Philly’s defense came up with two interceptions and three sacks in the victory as the Eagles improved to 10-1 on the season.
For Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdown passes to Aaron Jones and Randall Cobb before leaving the game in the third quarter with a rib injury. His availability for next Sunday’s game is unknown.
Backup Jordan Love threw for 113 yards in relief, including a 65 yard touchdown pass to Christian Watson.
The Packers have fallen to 4-8 on the season and will play at Chicago on Sunday at noon.
