MaryAnn Catherine Debbink, 89, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Countryside Manor in Sheboygan.
On November 12, 1933, MaryAnn was born to John W. and Marie T. Wyckoff and was a 1951 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. On June 5, 1954, she married the love of her life, Marvin Debbink in Sheboygan Falls. Together, MaryAnn and Marvin celebrated 68 years of marriage, before he preceded her in death August 11, 2022.
Following graduation, MaryAnn was employed at the Kohler Co. office until the birth of their first child. For many years, she was a Camp Fire Girls leader and enjoyed the outdoors and camping trips to Camp Bird and Point Beach. MaryAnn loved to tell stories of her father’s major league baseball history as a pitcher for the Philadelphia Athletics and Boston Red Sox. She was a natural in both golf and tennis herself and for many years played on a traveling tennis team for the Sports Core. She was a loyal spectator at all her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, and was an avid Packers and Brewers fan.
A member of Faith United Methodist Church all her life, she was active in various church committees and sang in the choir over 50 years.
MaryAnn and Marv enjoyed many years of traveling with family and friends, with their favorite destination being Sanibel Island Island, Florida, where countless happy memories were made.
MaryAnn is survived by her children – Laurie Kuplic of Sheboygan Falls; Michael (Christine) Debbink of Mequon, Steven Debbink (Greg Plowe) of Douglas, MI; Grandchildren – Elizabeth Alfonsi and Great-Granddaughter, Isabella of Port Washington, Alex Debbink (Emily Booth) of Chicago, Andrew Debbink (Jessie Lustman) of Chicago; Brother – Jerry Wyckoff of Sheboygan, WI, Sister-in-law, Doris Wyckoff of Dayton, OH , Niece -Deb Harris, Nephews Kevin (Tiffin)Wyckoff of Sheboygan, Keith (Chris)Wyckoff of Sheboygan Falls, Kerry (Kelly Jo) Wyckoff of Kiel.
MaryAnn was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joseph Wyckoff, sister-in-law Barbara Wyckoff, and nephew Stephen Harris.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate both Marvin and MaryAnn’s lives at Faith United Methodist Church in Sheboygan Falls on Saturday November 19 at 3:00.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at church from 1:00 until the time of service.
Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Faith United Methodist Church or Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of Countryside Manor and Sharon Richardson Hospice for their kind and compassionate care to both MaryAnn and Marv in their final days.
