Laura Lee Ellis, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at
Aurora Medical Center. She was born on August 17, 1947, in California to the late
William and Shirley (Francis) Ellis.
She worked at Menards for many years, where she retired in 2009 at the Appleton
location. She enjoyed spending time with her family and creating new memories.
Watching the Hallmark Channel and playing cards with her friends at The
Covenant House were just a few things she enjoyed. She recently found a joy in
playing pool. She will be remembered for being a sweet, loving and caring person
who enjoyed life itself. Her favorite color was purple. Wendy’s was her favorite
place to eat and going every Friday was a ritual for her. She also had an extensive
collection of angels.
Laura is survived by her children, Shirley (Mark) Adams, Leida Lampe, Timothy
(Martha) Lampe and her baby boy Michael Lampe; fourteen grandchildren;
eighteen great grandchildren; her brothers and sister. Along with many other
relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death along with her parents are her children, Julie Wood,
Deanne Wood, Amanda Lampe and her special friend Bill.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 1PM at
Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 N 8
th Street with Deacon Mike Burch officiating. The family
will accept guests from 11 AM until the time of service. The burial will take place
after the service, at Wildwood Cemetery. If you are unable to join the family for
