Alyssa Marie Mason, 21 of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Tuesday morning, November 8, 2022 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice surrounded by her family following a nine month battle with cancer.
Born July 11, 2001 in Sheboygan Ally was a daughter of David Mason and Kristina Sternhagen. She attended Sheboygan Falls schools and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 2019.
Ally was a member of Hope Reformed Church in Sheboygan, She enjoyed reading, crafting, and taking pictures. She loved spending time outdoors including ice fishing, kayaking and hiking. Ally enjoyed day trips to Door County and loved the summer months, especially swimming at Cedar Lake. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Kristina (Randal) Reetz, Sheboygan Falls; her father, David Mason, Cedar Grove; her sister, Ashley Reetz, Sheboygan Falls; her grandparents, Daniel and Linda Stray, Arthur and Diane Sternhagen, and Kathleen Reetz; aunts and uncles, Sue (Toby) Weinkotz, Dianne Mason, Toni Krahn, Art (Rachel) Sternhagen, Larry Riedy, Jenny (John) Costa, Sam (Jennie) Sternhagen, Jody Behrensprung, and Meg “Margaret” (Brian) Lawrenz; her cousins, Dani Mason, Tori Mason, Lauren “Lolo” Krahn, Ava, Alex and AJ Sternhagen, Dylan Riedy, Tony Costa, Kile Beattie, Emily Marshman, Maisy, Ramona and Max Sternhagen, Henry, Jasper and Lupine Behrensprung, and Dexter and Levi Lawrenz. She is further survived by her boyfriend, Ross Hurley, her best friend, Brooklyn Mortimer, her special friend and cousin, Jordan Minch, and her “Uncle and Aunt”, Danny and Shelly Zitzer, along with many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leonard and Margaret Mason and Larry Reetz, and her cousin, Christina Mason.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Hope Reformed Church, 612 Ontario Avenue. Friends and family are welcome at the church on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Ally wishes were for no “funeral clothes”. Please wear bright and fun colors.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank Dr. Marshall Matthews and staff as well as the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Ally’s arrangements.
