Walter L. “Wally” Struve, age 69, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday (November 6,
2022) at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
He was born on September 28, 1953 in Plymouth, WI, a son of the late Henry and Mabel (Dassow)
Struve.
Wally attended Plymouth Grade Schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1971.
On August 17, 1974 he married Colleen Schultz. Together they had three children.
He worked at Nemak (JL French) for 34 years. Walter was a member of the Plymouth Auxiliary Police
and the Quarter Century Club at Nemak.
Wally coached football for 30 years for the Plymouth Youth Football, was a diehard Green Bay Packer
fan and closet Milwaukee Brewer fan, loved watching racing and supported the Dirt Track Racing in the
Plymouth area and played in a rock band “The Upsets”.
He is survived by his three children: Nathan (Stephanie) Struve, Kellen Struve (special friend Mary Jane),
Natalie (Eric) Steltenpohl; six grandchildren, Ian, Aubrey, Braylon, Noah, Peyton, and Quinn; sister,
Shirley (Artie) Smoot; brother-in-law, Tim Lensmire; and three sisters-in-law, Janice Struve, Sharon
Struve and Sharon Struve.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Roland, Warren, Stan, and Allen; sister, Judy
Lensmire; and nephews, Randy Smoot, Danny Struve, and Ty Struve.
Following Wally’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Friday
evening, November 18, 2022, at 6:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Pastor Dale Miller
will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Friday afternoon (Nov. 18) from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Wally’s name for the Plymouth Junior Football.
