From 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. it’s election day, and voters from across the state will decide the race for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, as well as several other races. Locally, Sheboygan County will determine the race for Sheboygan County Sheriff, and the Clerk of County Courts.
Voters living in the 26th Assembly District will decide between Republican Incumbent Terry Katsma and his Democratic challenger Lisa Salgado. Republican State Senator Devin LeMahieu appears on tomorrow’s ballot unopposed, though Democrat Jarrod Schroeder is asking for people to vote for him as a write-in candidate.
Much attention is also being paid nationwide to the race for Wisconsin Governor, being fought by Incumbent Democrat Tony Evers – a Plymouth native – and Republican Tim Michels who has been closely associated with the conservative side of the already conservative Republican party. The latest polls have those two neck-and-neck among likely voters.
Also up for grabs is the power balance in congress. Republican Senator Ron Johnson is being challenged by Democrat Mandela Barnes, the current Lieutenant Governor in Wisconsin, in one of the most hotly-contested races nationwide.
WHBL will be monitoring the elections and have full results on Wednesday morning.
