Lorraine A. Wallander, 90, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the Cedar Grove Gardens in Cedar Grove.
Born October 4, 1932 in Sheboygan, Lorraine was a daughter of the late John and Carrie (Tikalsky) Wallander. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Central High School in 1951.
Lorraine worked for Wigwam Mills for 39 years before her retirement in 1996. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing, bowling and traveling, especially to Holy Hill in the fall.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Marcia Wallander, Sheboygan; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her 30 year companion, LaVerne “Lee” Larson; and her brothers and sisters, Elroy (Dorothy) Wallander, Arthur (Mary) Wallander, Charlotte (Victor) Sterk, Arlene (Jack) Schema, and Ernie Wallander.
Funeral services for Lorraine will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Chapel of Eternal Light, 6706 Superior Avenue, Kohler. Family and friends are welcome at the chapel from 1:30 until the time of service. Entombment will take place in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Cedar Grove Gardens and St. Nicholas Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
