Joanne Zimmerman passed away peacefully with the love of her life by her side on Monday October 17 th .
She is survived by her beloved soul mate, best friend and husband Alan of more than 59 years, her son
Brad and daughter (“in law”) Andrea, and her two grandchildren Austin (Rebecca) and Lucia. She was
preceded in death by her daughter Amy, four brothers and two sisters.
Joanne was a beautiful human being…a devoted wife and the very best mother and grandmother a child
could have. Picture in your mind the most loving, caring, unselfish, kind and giving person and you will
see Joanne. Dedicating her life to taking care of her family with unconditional love and support.
Spreading kindness (and a warm smile) to all those she met along the way. Joanne was also very strong,
facing much adversity but doing so with grace and remarkable resiliency.
The world is a far better place because of Joanne and her legacy will carry on in all those she touched
throughout her life. The wonderful memories created with her will continue to warm our hearts.
Rest peacefully lovie, please tell Amy we love and miss her. We are comforted knowing the both of you
are together again.
A special thank you to Narda Olson, Joanne’s loyal friend, the people from the Gathering Place at St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls for bringing her joy every Tuesday and the staff at Vitas
Hospice for the compassionate care they provided near the end of her life.
To honor Joanne’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
