Karsten A. Vinje, 83 of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Aurora
Medical Center Sheboygan County.
Karsten was born on November 24, 1938 in Montfort, Wisconsin a son to the late Sidney and Margaret
(Ralph) Vinje. He graduated from Monona Grove High School and continued his education graduating
from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era
stationed in France. Karsten was united in marriage to Judith Odegard. He was employed with Ray-O-
Vac in Madison and then with the Kohler Company in Kohler. He retired from Curt Joa in Sheboygan
Falls. Karsten was an EMT while residing in Madison and also in Howards Grove. He enjoyed working
with and riding his motorcycles.
Karsten is survived by his wife, Judy; his two sons, Michael Vinje (Elizabeth Brown) of Huntsville, Utah
and Mark (Wendy) Vinje of Sheboygan Falls; three grandchildren, Jessie (Tony) Vinje-Osman of
California, Nicole Vinje of California and Andrew (Liz) Vinje of Oakfield, WI; seven great grandchildren
and a brother, Clayton (Jan) Vinje of Monona. Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends further
survive. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Radl.
Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held at the cemetery in Cottage Grove,
WI
