Dennis Charles Hein, age 70, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully in his home on October 15, 2022.
He was born on June 17, 1952 in Plymouth, WI, a son of the late Marvin and Lucille (Pennell) Hein.
Dennis graduated Plymouth High School in 1970. In 1972, Dennis met Nancy Busse and fell in Love. They
were wed on December 11, 1976 at St. John- St. Peter Lutheran Church in Cleveland, WI. Together they
raised two daughters, Michelle “Shelly” and Stacy in Elkhart Lake. Nancy preceded him in death on
September 13, 2020.
He worked 43 years at Land O’Lakes from 1972 until 2016. In his retirement, he enjoyed getting together
with retired coworkers for monthly breakfasts.
Dennis was hard working, reliable, and strongly committed to faith, family and community. He was a
member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth for over 45 years and an active member of the
Elkhart Lake Lions Club.
Dennis enjoyed playing cards with friends, tending to his fruit orchard, and was a garden enthusiast. He
loved watching sporting events of all kinds and happy hour on the porch with friends. He enjoyed
traveling and trying new foods and drinks. He took great joy in spending time with his family especially
his grandchildren, Maxwell and Sophie, as well as his grand pup, Henry.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelly (Thein) Le and Stacy Hein; grandchildren, Maxwell and Sophie
Le; two sisters, Sharon Stemper and Sandy Wieland; sister-in-law, Donna Wieland; two brothers-in-law,
Randy (Lynn) Busse and Fred Osius; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister, Diane Osius; brothers-in-law, Gerald Wieland,
Chuck Stemper, and Ronald Wieland.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday (October 26, 2022) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from
3:30 PM – 6:00 PM, with a celebration of Dennis’ life to follow at 6:00 PM. Rev. Andrew Thompson,
Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, will officiate. Inurnment will be at St. Johannes Cemetery in
Cleveland on Monday (October 31, 2022) at 11:00 AM.
