Diana L. Bauer, of Cedar Grove, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls after a 3 year battle with cancer. She was 61 years old.
Diana was born October 4, 1961 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Leonard and Germaine (Aus) Schmidt. She attended school in Thiensville, graduating from Homestead High School in Mequon in 1979. She went on to study accounting at LTC, and later earn a Liberal Arts Degree from Lakeland College.
For 8 years, Diana worked as an Executive at Rytec Corp. in Jackson. Prior, she had worked at Leeson Electric in Grafton and later Charter Steel in Saukville. Built from her love of cooking, Diana opened her own spice shop in Plymouth, Old Thyme Spice Shop, in October of 2021.
On March 17, 2000, she was united in marriage with Dennis Bauer in Las Vegas.
Diana loved horses, traveling, reading and camping in Wild Rose. She was an amazing cook, and her family will never forget all the inside jokes. Most important to Diana was her family; her love for them and her friends was unwavering and unmatched. She valued family and life. “How precious life is.”
Diana is survived by her husband Dennis and sons: TJ (Korey) Schmidt of Random Lake, Joshua (Samantha) Bauer of Random Lake, Jared (Krystal) Bauer of Eau Claire and Jeffrey (Jenny) Bauer of Black River Falls. She is further survived by 7 grandchildren; sisters Patricia (Chuck) Morris of Waldo and Nancy Zehren of Batavia; 1 brother-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; other relatives and many special friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A private family memorial service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
