Data made available from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services shows that the COVID-19 pandemic in Sheboygan County has changed little since early May. Cases bottomed out this year during March.
Over the past week, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health added 96 new confirmed cases to the total count, which has now reached 33,456. Three persons are hospitalized for COVID-19 symptoms,, unchanged from last week at this time, but having involved 5 new patients to the COVID treatment protocol in Sheboygan County during the pandemic. The total number of patients receiving treatment at least once is now 1,327.
The community transmission level in Sheboygan County is Low. 116.18 new cases per 100,000 persons were recorded in the past 7 days, up from 104.91 the previous period. New COVID-19 admissions per 100,000 population declined from the previous 7-day total of 7.0 to the current 6.5. The percentage of staffed inpatient beds occupied by COVID-19 patients reached a 7-day average of 4.2%, after having been previously measured at 3.4%.
