Knowing your rights and responsibilities as a renter can mean more housing security. Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Sheboygan is offering a class that can teach you what you need to know to be a smart renter.
The free Rent Smart Tenant Training Class will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26th at the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce Building on South 8th and Riverfront Drive. Current renters, or those planning on becoming one, will get a certificate of participation at the conclusion of the class.
The Rent Smart program is free thanks to a City of Sheboygan Community Development Block Grant Program, but registration is required by noon on October 24th. You can do that by calling CCCS at 1-800-350-2227 (CCCS).
On the other side of the coin, there’s still time to sign up for the City’s landlord training program coming up on Thursday, November 3rd in the City Hall Council Chamber. Registration for landlords is required before Friday, October 21st via this link.
