LONDON, ENGLAND (WHBL) – The Green Bay Packer offense failed to score in the second half as the New York Giants pulled off a 27-22 win in the first-ever Packers regular-season game in London.
Green Bay opened a 20-10 lead at halftime thanks to a pair of Aaron Rodgers’ touchdown passes; a four-yard dart to Allen Lazard and a two-yard toss to Marcedes Lewis. Mason Crosby added a pair of field goals from 48 and 46 yards.
Rodgers finished 25/39 for 222 yards and two scores. Aaron Jones recorded 13 carries for 63 yards.
Randall Cobb was the leading receiver with 99 yards off seven catches. Lazard caught four balls for 35 yards and one score.
New York’s Daniel Jones was 21/27 for 217 yards. Saquon Barkley led the Giants with 13 carries for 70 yards and a score.
The only scoring for the Packers in the second half was a safety gifted to them by the Giants with 58 seconds to go.
The Packers fall to second place on the NFC North with a 3-2 record, trailing the first-place Minnesota Vikings by a game.
The Giants improve to 4-1 on the season while Green Bay falls to 3-2. The Packers return stateside next Sunday to host the New York Jets at Lambeau Field.
