MADISON, WI (WHBL) – The Wisconsin Badgers football team is making a shocking change to its coaching staff. The program fired head coach Paul Chryst on Sunday.
Athletic director Chris McIntosh told reporters that the decision was tough to make, but he added that “today is the first day of the future of this program.”
Chryst began his tenure at Wisconsin in 2015, and he’s gone 67-26 with the Badgers.
Defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard will take over as the team’s interim head coach.
