James “Jim” Carpenter, age 91, of the Town of Mitchell, passed away at home on September 25, 2022.
He was born on February 17, 1931 in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, a son of the late Harold and Violet
(Krause) Carpenter, and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1949.
Following high school, Jim served in the United States Air Force from 1949-1952, and was a member of
the Cascade American Legion Post 386.
On November 26, 1955, he married Marilyn Krueger at St. Fridolin Catholic Church in Glenbeulah.
Jim worked at Kohler Company for over 35 years, from 1959 until his retirement in 1995.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, playing baseball, watching all Wisconsin sports teams, and spending
time with his family.
Survivors include: His loving wife of 66 years: Marilyn; 6 Children: Harold (Pamela) Carpenter, Jean Marie
Fisher, Lorna Grzeca, Terry Carpenter, Galan Carpenter, and Roseanne Carpenter; Grandchildren: James
(Stephanie) Carpenter, Nicole (Matt) Steinhardt, Jennifer (Leon) Yelle, Wally (Chasidey) Fisher, Neil
(Leah) Fisher, Tosha (Jason) Hamilton, Cole Carpenter, and Erin (Chris) Thorne; 17 Great grandchildren; 2
Great-great grandchildren; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by: His parents; Sisters: Darleen (Herman) Hemble and Nancy (Richard) Roob;
Brother: Bill Carpenter; and Son-in-law: Joe Grzeca.
Following Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no visitation or services will be held.
