The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development released local job figures on Wednesday, showing continued low unemployment rates in the Sheboygan Metro Area.
Seasonally-adjusted figures indicate a gain of 100 jobs in the Sheboygan Area month-over-month, and since August of last year, 1,300 jobs were added to the local workforce.
The unemployment rate – again seasonally-adjusted – remained at 2.7% in August, down three-tenths of one percent compared to August of ‘21.
Using non-seasonally-adjusted data, the Sheboygan County Metro area unemployment rate of 3% in August ranked 10th-lowest among the 35 areas measured in Wisconsin.
