There’s a new Sheriff’s Deputy in Ozaukee County, and he’s only two years old. K-9 Deputy Odin is a German Shepherd that was sworn in during a live-streamed ceremony on Thursday by Sheriff James Johnson.
A packed house of family, friends and fellow K-9 lovers was in attendance yesterday to give a “round of (a)paws” to the latest addition to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office. Odin will be handled by Deputy Paul Kickhaver during his term of service.
Odin becomes the fifth K-9 Deputy to serve in Ozaukee County. Two have retired. K-9 Wasco began service in 2015 and is slated for retirement later this year. K-9 Rev began serving in 2016 and will remain active.
