BELGIUM, WI (WHBL) – The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what caused an accident between two semi-trucks in Ozaukee County Thursday night that killed the two drivers and shut down part of I-43.
The accident occurred around 6:30 on southbound I-43 in Belgium. A northbound semi left the road and crossed over into the southbound lanes, striking the other semi.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Smoke from the crash could be seen for miles.
