Sheboygan Transportation Committee to Host Bike Ride to Raise Awareness for Local Businesses and Make Downtown Sheboygan More Accessible to Bike Riders

On Saturday, September 10, the City of Sheboygan’s Active Transportation Committee in conjunction with the City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works will host a “Ride with Ryan” group bike ride. The ride will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will feature a two-mile long loop that is hosted by Sheboygan Mayor Ryan Sorenson; beginning and ending at the Uptown Parklet on N. 8th and St. Clair. This event is going to be part of a larger effort to make Sheboygan a more walkable, accessible, bikeable city. It will also support small businesses, and encourage safer streets, sidewalks, and trails that are distributed all throughout the city.

Skateboards, unicycles, scooters, and other forms of active transportation aside from bikes are also welcome.  Paradigm Coffee and Music will be open for business and allow citizens to provide feedback on the initiative.
