Patsy Rae Schumacher, age 89, formerly of Waldo, passed away Friday Morning
(September 2, 2022) at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home in Sheboygan where she
had been a resident for the past 1 ½ years.
She was born on April 17, 1933 in Neillsville, WI, a daughter of the late Luther
William and Cora May (McCullough) Wright.
She attended Neillsville Grade Schools.
On August 14, 1948, she married Virgil Schumacher at Corpus Christi Catholic
Church in Bakersville, WI. The couple farmed in Parnell, WI until 1954, then
moved to Waldo. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2001.
Patsy enjoyed traveling around the United States and to different countries. She
enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved
gardening, most of all flowers, loved to be outdoors and most of all loved getting
together with family and friends.
Patsy took up the sport of trap shooting and enjoyed trap shooting, traveling and
spending time with her special friend Carl Schuppie.
Survivors include her daughter: Diana (Michael) Pardee of Glenbeulah; four
sons: Scott (Debbie) Schumacher of Plymouth, Don Schumacher of Sheboygan,
Carey Schumacher of Dundee and Robert (Donna) Schumacher of Gadsden, AL;
15 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two
brothers-in-law: Dean (Nigo) Schumacher and Dale (Marilyn) Schumacher; and
one sister-in-law: Sally Follen.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil, and many sisters,
brothers, and in-laws.
Following Patsy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service
will be held on Friday (September 9, 2022) at 12:00 Noon at the Suchon Funeral
Home in Plymouth. Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of St. John the Baptist
Catholic Church, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Waldo Cemetery.
Visitation will take place on Friday (Sept. 9) at the Suchon Funeral Home in
Plymouth from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Patsy’s name.
